Hi, my name is Aruna Anand. I’m an immigrant, mother, professional, entrepreneur, community builder, and now running to be a candidate for the Conservative Party of Canada in the Mississauga Malton riding. My story is the story of any aspiring woman who sleeps with hope and wakes up with the dream to do better every day for herself, her family, and the community. I immigrated to Canada in June 2000 and embarked on my professional journey with RBC Insurance in 2001. It was a leap into the unknown, a path of challenges. But with the support of family, strength of community, and inspiration from many mentors, every challenge empowered me to stand strong and serve the community I believe in and belong to. Beyond my professional life, I’m a proud mother of two amazing children. Their dreams and future serve as a daily reminder of the world we are shaping for the next generation. I’ve completed my Masters in Public Administration from Panjab University, Chandigarh, India. Also, I graduated from Toronto Film School, Toronto. My education has taught me how to work together to create a safer and better world for everyone. As the COVID-19 pandemic swept through our lives, the mother in me got hit hard with the struggle of many, especially the kids. I know hungry kids are angry kids. I started the initiative "Fueling Healthy Minds" to help support kids who are in need of a healthy breakfast. With the support of many community organizations and volunteers, I’m humbled to see a smile on so many faces. I’ve had the honor of receiving the Global Citizen Award from the Royal Bank of Canada and the Community Builder Award by Women Helping Empower Women. I’m running for the Conservative Party nomination to represent Mississauga Malton with pride. I believe in working together for a better future. It is painful to see the quality of life in my community is deteriorating. Common men aren’t able to make ends meet even with their best efforts. The current government has no clue about what is going on, and its members are completely out of touch. They don’t have any understanding of the struggles of the people. Under the leadership of Pierre Poilievre, I want to bring home the common-sense conservative government where life is affordable, people have jobs, kids have a future, and seniors have peace of mind. I know with your support, together we’ll bring home a Common-Sense Conservative Government! Thanks for taking time to know about me.
